This piece was inspired from my first trip to Paris. It was raining and so the paint while a block colour looks like it is dripping wet. I love this effect as it does look different in a variety of lights. The Eiffel tower shines as it does on a Parisian evening. On the side of this painting I included the poem “Love like you have never been hurt, laugh like nothing matters, work like you don’t need the money, dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, live like there is no tomorrow” these lines are attributed to a number of artists over the years in different orders and wordings (Mark Twain, Satchel Paige, William Purkey, Susanna Clark, Richard Leigh). This is a feature piece and would suit a lover of Paris.
